Note: In the event of a late reservation, cruise tickets may be issued to
passengers upon arrival at the embarkation pier.
CHILD RATES are not available on Carnival Cruise Lines and
infants must be at least 4 months of age to travel.
CANCELLATION OF CARNIVAL CRUISE ARRANGEMENTS: The
cancellation penalty for a Carnival Cruise vacation is per person, based on
cruise duration. Policy A: Cancellations received between 60-30
days prior to departure - the value of the deposit; between 29-8 days - 50% of
total cruise cost; and between 7-0 days - 100% of total cruise cost.
Policy B: Cancellations received between 70-30 days prior to
departure - the value of the deposit; between 29-8 days - 50% of total cruise
cost; and between 7-0 days - 100% of total cruise cost. Policy
C: Cancellations received between 75-46 days prior to departure - the
value of the deposit; between 45-15 days - 50% of total cruise cost; and between
14-0 days - 100% of total cruise cost. If cancellation by one or more passengers
alters the room requirements of the remaining passengers, those passengers still
travelling must pay the revised rates. For Cruises-To-Nowhere, the
deposit is non-refundable and for cancellation of Cruises-To-Nowhere
received between 60-30 days, the cancellation charge is 25% of the total cruise
fare.
CHANGE IN CRUISE ITINERARY: When practicable, Carnival
Cruise Lines will promptly notify guests of a pre-cruise itinerary change
through Fun Sun Vacations and/or their travel consultants. If an itinerary
change occurs while a ship is at sea or when notice prior to sailing is not
feasible, Carnival shall attempt to substitute an alternative port. No
compensation shall be provided to passengers when an alternative port is
offered. If an alternative port is not provided, guests shall be provided a
shipboard credit of $20 USD per person. No further compensation will be provided
after the cruise.
CRUISE EMBARKATION: Passengers are recommended to arrive at
the pier for check-in a minimum of two hours prior to sailing. Cruise
reservations: will be held until 30 minutes prior to departure without risk of
automatic cancellation. No refunds will be made in the event of ‘no shows,’
automatic trip cancellation, trip interruption, or cancellation by the guest
after the start of the cruise.
ADVANCE GUEST INFORMATION - U.S. BORDER SECURITY ACT:
Carnival Cruise Lines is required to provide the U.S. Department of Homeland
Security with specific guest information prior to departure. To comply, you must
provide advance guest information by going online to Carnival.com/mycruise and
clicking on the FunPass icon. You will need your Carnival booking number, ship
and sail date. Once you complete the online registration process, you will be
able to "fast track" through a quick documentation verification at embarkation.
If you do not have Internet access, you can send this information via fax (ask
your travel agent to contact Carnival Reservations for the fax form). Failure to
provide this information prior to two days before departure date will result in
delays in embarkation and/or denied boarding.
DEBARKATION TIMES: To allow sufficient time for Customs and
Immigrations procedures, debarkation, transfer time to the airport and airline
check-in requirements, we recommend scheduling outbound air flights no earlier
than 12:30 p.m. for San Diego, Jacksonville, Tampa, and New Orleans, 1:00 p.m.
for Miami and Los Angeles, 1:45 p.m. for Fort Lauderdale, and 2:00 p.m. for
Galveston.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please be advised that U.S. federal law
prohibits travel between two contiguous U.S. ports (i.e.: you cannot board the
ship in New Orleans and debark in Tampa). Any guest who insists on departing in
this situation accepts responsibility for any resulting penalties.
GUESTS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS: Fun Sun Vacations and Carnival
Cruise Lines seek to the extent feasible to accommodate guests with special
needs so they are able to enjoy the ship and its facilities. For example,
service animals are permitted on board ships if prior arrangements have been
made at time of booking. In situations where a guest with special needs, such as
a guest in a wheelchair, would be unable to be comfortably accommodated due to
vessel safety barriers and other criteria, it may be necessary to ask the guest
to bring along a companion to assist or make alternative arrangements. Guests
who have any medical, physical or other special needs are required to contact
Carnival's Guest Access Services at (800) 438-6744, ext. 70025 to discuss the
details of their individual special needs.
REFUSAL OF PASSAGE AND PREMATURE DEBARKATION: Passage may be
refused to any passenger, and any passenger’s vacation may be terminated at any
time, at the risk and expense of the person debarked, where the passenger’s
physical or mental condition renders him or her, in the opinion of the ship’s
physician, unfit for travel or a risk or danger to himself or herself or anyone
else onboard the ship, or where the disclosure required in the immediate
preceding paragraph is not made.
Additionally, the ship’s captain may refuse transportation to any passenger
or may terminate any passenger’s voyage, who, in the sole discretion of the
ship’s captain, the passenger is believed to be dangerous to himself or herself
or others or causes disturbances to Carnival’s passengers or crew. Such
passenger may be left at any port or place the ship calls without any liability
to Carnival Cruise Lines or Fun Sun Vacations Ltd.
Carnival Cruise Lines nor Fun Sun Vacations will be required to refund any
portion of the fare paid by any passenger who must leave the cruise prematurely
for any reasons set forth above or who voluntarily debarks or leaves the ship
for any other reason, nor shall they be responsible for accommodations, medical
expenses, meals, return transportation or other expenses incurred by the
passenger.
PREGNANCY: Please be advised that guests who would be in
their third trimester of pregnancy (27 weeks or more) at the time of sailing are
not permitted on board due to the risk of premature labour.
MINOR GUESTS ON CARNIVAL: Guests under the age of 21 years
must be accompanied by a parent, grandparent or guardian, 25 years or older, in
the same stateroom. Infants must be at least four months old to be eligible to
travel. The Camp Carnival® program features supervised activities for children 2
- 15 years of age with limited activities available for 16 to 18 year olds.
CARNIVAL'S TOTAL CHOICE DINING: Total Choice Dining is
available on all ships except the Spirit and Pride. The Spirit-class ships have
only one dining room so they have 2 dining times; all other ships now offer 4
dining times. Your travel consultant may request your dining preferences (time,
companions) at the time of booking. By popular request, all Dining Rooms are
Smoke-Free. No requests are guaranteed. Your table assignment will be confirmed
at embarkation. Dining times are (subject to change):

bistro-style on the Lido Deck. (Seaview Bistro is not available on the last
night of the cruise.) Spirit-class and Conquest-class ships have the added
convenience of a reservation-only supper club for which a nominal fee applies.
SPECIAL DIETS: Your travel consultant may request any
special diet requirements at least two weeks prior to sailing. You should
discuss the method of preparation of menu items with your waiter or headwaiter.
There may be limitations in Carnival’s ability to accommodate special orders.
Kosher meals are not available.
ON-BOARD STATEROOM SERVICE: 24-Hour stateroom service is
available. Extra blankets, pillows, beverage and food services can be ordered
any time.
CARNIVAL'S LIQUOR POLICY: Guests are prohibited from
bringing alcoholic beverages of any kind on board the ship for consumption.
Alcoholic beverages purchased in the ship’s gift shops or in foreign ports will
be retained by Carnival until the end of the voyage. However, if you will be
celebrating a special occasion while on board, fine wine or champagne may be
brought on board during embarkation at the beginning of the cruise only. A $10
USD per bottle corkage fee will be charged should guests wish to consume this
wine in the dining room. You may also purchase mixed drinks and other beverages
from any of the ship’s bars and lounges. Alcoholic beverages will not be sold or
served to anyone under the age of 21 years. Carnival reserves the right to
refuse sale and/or service of alcoholic beverages to anyone.
CRUISE GRATUITIES: Tipping is a purely personal matter and
the amount you choose to give as a tip is strictly your own decision. For the
convenience of its guests, Carnival automatically adds the recommended
gratuities onto the guest's Sail and Sign Account on embarkation day if
gratuities were not prepaid; the total amount is $10.00 USD per day, per guest.
You are, of course, free to adjust the gratuities amount to whatever you like
based upon the level of service you received during the cruise. For
Cruises-To-Nowhere, gratuities must be prepaid.
SHORE EXCURSIONS: Optional shore excursions are available
for purchase aboard ship. Shore excursion fares are approximate and are subject
to change without notice. During local or national holidays abroad, certain
facilities such as museums, sightseeing tours and shopping may be limited or not
available.
SHORE EXCURSION TIPPING: Tipping for excellent service is
always recommended: Waiters, waitresses and taxi drivers are generally tipped
15% of your bill or fare. Tour Escorts are generally tipped $1-$2 USD per
person, per day depending on the length of the tour.
ADVANCED OR DELAYED SAILINGS: In the event of strikes,
lockouts, riots and stoppage of labour from whatever cause, or for any other
reason whatsoever, including inclement weather, the ship owner may at any time
cancel, advance or postpone any scheduled sailing and may, but is not obliged
to, substitute another vessel and shall not be liable for any loss to guests by
reason of such cancellation or substitution.
